Meet our Scholars

Dr. Mohammed Iqbal Nadvi
Dr. Nadvi is one of Canada’s leading Muslim scholars, widely recognized for his deep expertise in Islamic law and his ability to issue formal religious rulings (fatāwā). He holds advanced degrees in Sharīʿah and Fiqh from some of the world’s most respected Islamic institutions and has served the Canadian Muslim community for decades through teaching, leadership, and scholarly guidance.

Ustadha Afsheen Asif
Ustadha Afsheen is a traditionally trained scholar who completed the Dars‑e‑Nizami curriculum, holds ijāzah in major books of Hadith, and specializes in Iftā’. She teaches Tafsīr, Hadith, Arabic, and Fiqh, and is the co‑founder of Qunoot Academy in Toronto.
